It is not new to anyone that the last two years, with the pandemic that has plagued the world, have created incredible difficulties for the vast majority of the world’s population. It was undoubtedly a sad historical landmark in the world.

We see the consequences of this period daily. An increase in poverty, unemployment and a severe economic crisis.

So much so that some images have already become commonplace, such as the increase in homeless people.

We have the habit of walking through our city and the ones we visit, looking for good places to photograph. Walking is a wonderful exercise to get to know a city in its details. Walking is a wonderful exercise to get to know a city in its details.

In these wanderings, we began to see an increase of large construction sites, usually apartment buildings and large commercial structures, abandoned.

Abandoned construction sites being destroyed by time.

That caught our attention.

We started photographing these abandoned structures, and then the Forgotten City collection was born.

A small historical record of our time, and an exercise in the pursuit of beauty in destruction.

Forgotten City brings us images of broken and abandoned dreams.

The photos have the geographical coordinates of the buildings, so the collector can see the building by mechanisms such as Google Maps over time, following its history from today.

We hope you all enjoy accompanying this collection as much as we are enjoying producing it.

See you at objkt.com.
